Solutions for a global crisis, another look presented by Lyle Bennett, is coming May 15-16 at Arlington SDA Church. The schedule for this three-part series is as follows:
"The End of Politics" Friday, May 15, 7:30pm What a mess we're in! And politicians have the answer?
"Sudden Collapse" Saturday, May 16, 11:00pm Could our grand global dance with prosperity come to an end?
"Universal Healthcare" Saturday, May 16, 7:30pm Want to be 21 forever? Is there a cure for aging?
We hope that even if you have never visited with us, that you will join us for this time to think about God's role in finding solutions to these troubling times. Members, please invite your neighbors, friends and family to attend. We will be meeting in the church.
HAPPY 99th BIRTHDAY to Lara Chichester!
April 12th is the big day!
Congratulations, Lara!
Joan Chinnock is her daughter.
This charter member of the Arlington SDA Church, mother-in-law of Pastor Lyle Bennett and mother of JoAnna Bennett, passed away Wednesday morning, April 1. She was 89 years old and had waged a long and courageous battle with the effects of the aging process.
A service open to all is planned for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Crestlawn Mortuary Chapel.
Frances supported our church in so many ways and for so many years. Tuesday mornings would find her working at Community Services.
We know that Frances dearly loved Jesus as her personal Saviour. Her hope was in Jesus' call to resurrection from the sleep of death to spend eternity with Him.
The family thanks you for your love and prayers.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4,
Join us as we see those who could use a friendly visit!
We will meet at the church at 2:00pm.
For more info, contact Pastor Mario at the church office.
If you see a notice that there are no upcoming events where our monthly calendar usually appears, please click the EVENTS button under the Main Menu to see our scheduled events. For some reason, the calendar is shy and disappears without explanation, but only at the end of a month! The computer techs are looking into it.
Communion will be celebrated during the March 28 worship service. We hold an open communion. That means all believing Christians are welcomed. We conduct this service with non-alcoholic grape juice and wheat wafers. (We have a gluten-free option.)
Before the Lord's supper portion of the service, we celebrate the Ordinance of Service. We follow Jesus' command to wash each other's feet as Jesus Christ washed the feet of His disciples. There are rooms set up for women only and men only, as well as for families and couples.
Remembering and experiencing the death of Jesus as a means of connecting with God brings courage and power to face life.

This Sunday, March 1 meeting at the church at 6 am. We apologize for the change but the weather made that decision easy for us. This weekend will be great conditions for a day in the snow. Pastor Mario has heard a few people say they don't have the equipment for a trip like this...
DON'T let that stop you!
We will be renting equipment (Ski and Snowboards) up at the Mt. They also have snow pants ($5) for those who are lacking in that department. The only thing you need to really concern yourselves with are the following:
Gloves
Sunscreen
Sunglasses/goggles
Coin for lift ticket and rentals
Pastor Mario needs a final count by Wednesday...
That goes for Lift tickets, Rentals, and transportation.
Prices:
Child Ticket $15 Snowboards $ 18
Youth Ticket $35 Ski $12
Adult Ticket $45 Snow Pants $5
